Happy New Year

This was my Christmas card created from a picture I took in Maine on the Lighthouse Tour. It is acrylic on panel and in private hands (I love saying that about my paintings). It is my symbol of the new year - light and joy.

Happy New Year

Ok so my first resolution to is remove clutter which, as a creative solution, I have decided means reading books that are more than one year old in my "to be read" stack. Now, don't be fooled by the term "stack" it is really overflowing shelves, tubs, baskets and drawers full of unread but compelling books - at least they compelled me to bring them into the house and store them. Now, with the help of the "TBR" challenge I plan on reducing the number by 12 at least. Rules require review as the books are read so maybe I'll be kept on track. First up? Stay tuned!
I was well pleased with the response to my Christmas card for 2010. I painted it as a gift to my friend JR and she picked it out from my lighthouse photos. I wish a truly happy New Year to all filled with Light and Happiness! Here's to new beginnings!
